About Karin Rytter Studio

Hello there! I’m Karin Rytter, a Printmaker and illustration artist, hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark. My artistic journey might be a bit unusual, but then again -aren’t they all! I started out with a BA in Art History, and MA in Philosophy and Aesthetics, fully determined to focus on a career in academia. Then I had triplets, and as a result, a different life and brand new path. Most of all, I wanted to spend time with my sons, and I found that carving lino was an amazing stress relieve, to unwind after a tumultuous day of triple-parenting. Fast forward ten years, I’ve since become a single parent, moved closer to nature, and been a full time artist for almost nine years. My work primarily consists of linocut, although I do work in other artistic media too, and occasionally make illustrations and commercial work.
